Ladies Ministry

The goal of our Ladies’ Ministry is to provide fellowship opportunities for the women of the Argyle body – and outreach opportunities for others – all to God’s glory. (Coordinators: Kathryn Mick and Debbie Blackshear)

We have three main events in our Ladies Ministry:

Tour of Homes

This holiday event is on the first Saturday of December. Three members’ homes are chosen to host a “progressive” Christmas party. The first home serves beverages; the second serves appetizers; the third serves dessert. The women are transported in the church bus which has been decorated with lights and bows and plays Christmas music as they travel to each home. We donate the ticket price to a charity each year.

Ladies Retreat

This is an annual weekend event that is usually held in September or October. It is a time of spiritual encouragement and fun. Some of our group will start the retreat on Friday afternoon with shopping or relaxing at the beach – others meet us at the retreat destination that evening. A guest speaker shares a lesson with us on Friday night and Saturday morning (after our sunrise devotional!) Saturday afternoon the group usually meets at a local restaurant for lunch to end our time together.

Evening at Argyle

This annual event is held in February or March.
Imagine a room full of tables – each decorated with a different theme and guests decorated to match! Dinner is made and served by the men of the congregation. It is a great time of fellowship and sharing – and eagerly anticipated each year!
