MISSIONS SERVE GROUP

The Missions Serve Group (MSG) of the Argyle Church of Christ exists as a God-directed assembly of Christians dedicated to the use of resources God provides to teach and/or support those who teach lost souls the “Good News” about the Lord Jesus Christ. Argyle has both extended mission works (Union Island in the Caribbean, Liberia West Africa, and also in Nicaragua). We also make one-time donations to a variety of mission efforts around the globe.

Membership in the MSG is open to Christians who are members at the Argyle church and are willing to work in a spirit of love to reach the lost with the gospel of Christ. We have many opportunities throughout the year for our members to participate in both outreach efforts and giving in support of missions. Deacon: Michael Clarke

MEDICAL MISSIONS

Medical Evangelism is offered as a mission ministry of the Argyle Church of Christ. This ministry offers free or minimal fee medical services to the poor and underserved of the world as an instrument to teach others about Jesus Christ. Those desiring to serve on a medical brigade may include medical and non-medical personnel. Doctors, dentists, mid-level providers, nurses and pharmacists make up about one-third to one-half of the medical team. Non-medical personnel can participate by being a translator, work in construction ministry, assisting in one of the medical areas such as dental, eye-glasses or pharmacy or teaching someone about Jesus through evangelizing and VBS opportunities.

Medical evangelism is accomplished through partnering efforts of various groups affiliated with churches of Christ which work together to recruit, organize and utilize people’s talents. These groups include: Olive Branch Ministries International, Miśion para Cristo, Health Talents International, and the Rene Polanco church of Christ in Nicaragua.

In past years, the medical efforts have been concentrated in Central and South America, but other areas of the world are being investigated for future works. Trips are available throughout the year with these various groups, but the Argyle Mission Serve Group assembles members for one concentrated effort each year which usually takes place in the summer.
