Mission Statement
“We seek to connect all people to God through growing relationships with each other and with Jesus Christ.”
Core Values
Honoring God
( A God-focused church) We seek to understand God’s character, his son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. We respond to God by celebrating His reign.
Expressing Devotion
(Worship as life and in assembly) We appreciate that diversity in response to God (generational differences),informed by Scripture, may be edifying. God is the target audience of our worship. Our day to day lives are understood as worship to God.
Connecting Effectively
(Fellowship) Our developing relationship with God leads us to a healthy relationship with each other.
Respecting Tradition
We are the heirs of 2000 years of church history and 200 years of restoration heritage. We recognize that God has been among His people always. We honor our heritage, but we are led to adapt/change “tradition” and heritage when it serves God’s mission to reach seeking hearts and modern minds.
Inviting Others
(Evangelism) The value of Jesus’ Great Commission expresses itself in personal initiative: we go to the world and we bring others to God’s family. We also actively send and support others who will go.
Serving
(Servanthood discipleship) We deliberately become like Jesus by following Him in service and giving. As we mature as disciples of Jesus, we expend ourselves for others (benevolence, assistance, teaching, counseling).
Healing
(Reconciliation: allowing God to have His way) “Church” is meant to be a safe haven for hurting people to seek refuge. We share in God’s work healing people in their need.
